Scilla lilio-hyacinthus

Pyrenean Squill. From woods and damp places on the slope of the Pyrenees this has large scaly lily like bulbs. Planted in open woodland its wide shiny foliage emerges as the snowdrops flower, before presenting its squill flowers in late April. Flowers are pale lilac blue.
