FAQs
When will my order be dispatched?
As our bulbs and plants are seasonal living products, orders are dispatched when the items are ready for safe despatch and at the appropriate point in the season, rather than necessarily immediately after ordering. If you have any particular dates when you might be away or have a large planting day planned, please mention the dates in comments while ordering.
How will my order be delivered?
We use Royal Mail 24 hour service. Tracking is provided where applicable. You will receive an email when your order is being dispatched
Can I order products with different dispatch times?
Yes. If your order includes items with different seasonal availability, we may dispatch them separately to ensure everything arrives in the best possible condition.
How should I store my bulbs if I cannot plant them immediately?
Most bulbs should be unpacked on arrival and planted as soon as possible.
If you need to wait:
- store dry bulbs somewhere cool and dry
- keep delicate bulbs such as snowdrops, bluebells, or wood anemones in compost or sand if planting is delayed
Are your plants sent in pots?
Unless otherwise stated, our plants are dispatched bare-rooted, either from container-grown or open-ground stock.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you are not happy with your order, please contact us within 14 days of receiving it, and we will be happy to offer a refund or replacement as appropriate.
Do bulbs and plants come with a growing guarantee?
Because our products are living plants, their success depends on planting conditions, care, and the environment in which they are grown. For this reason, we cannot guarantee performance once items have been safely delivered.
Are your bulbs suitable for naturalising?
Many of our bulbs are specifically chosen for their ability to naturalise and establish beautifully over time in suitable conditions. Product descriptions will indicate where this is particularly recommended.
Are all your bulbs native to Britain?
No. While we specialise in many native British bulbs and plants, we also offer carefully chosen species from other parts of the world that naturalise well in the British climate.
Do you ship outside the UK?
At present, we deliver within the UK only.
Can I contact you for planting advice?
Of course. We are always happy to help with questions about planting, suitability, or choosing the right bulbs for your garden.
Are your collections suitable for beginners?
Yes. Our curated collections are designed to make choosing combinations easier, whether you are new to bulb planting or simply want a beautifully balanced planting scheme without the guesswork.
