Delivery Information

We aim to dispatch all orders promptly and with great care to ensure your bulbs and plants arrive in excellent condition.

As many of our products are seasonal living plants and bulbs, items will be dispatched at the appropriate time for planting, lifting, or when ready for safe despatch, rather than necessarily immediately after ordering. This allows us to send plants and bulbs in the best possible condition.

Delivery Methods

We use Royal Mail for deliveries across the UK using next day service.

Smaller orders are typically sent via Royal Mail First Class, while larger or heavier parcels (generally over 2kg) are sent as parcels, which includes tracking.

Packaging

We take care to package our bulbs and plants appropriately according to their needs.

  • Dry bulbs are packed in paper bags.
  • Freshly lifted bulbs are packed in compost to help retain moisture and sent in sealed bags.
  • Plants are dispatched bare-rooted unless otherwise stated.

On Arrival

As our products are living plants and bulbs, we recommend unpacking your order as soon as it arrives.

Where possible, bulbs and plants should be planted promptly after receipt.

If you are unable to plant immediately:

  • Store bulbs in a cool, dry, shaded place until planting.
  • Bare-root plants should be heeled in temporarily by covering the roots with compost or soil, or potted on until they can be planted properly.

Bulbs with a protective outer skin, such as daffodils, crocus, and tulips, store well for a reasonable period. More delicate bulbs, such as bluebells, wood anemones, and snowdrops, are best planted promptly, or kept in compost or sand if they need to be held for more than a week or so.
