Allium ursinum

Welsh: Craf y Geir

Ramsons or wild garlic occurs widely in the British Isles in damp woods and hedgerows. Its brilliant white flowers in Apr-May are very beautiful. Some cooks use the cigar shaped bulbs, although we stick to Allium sativum, the usual culinary species, the leaves are used in salads. Ramsons grow and spread in most soils. Height 9”.
