Ornithogalum nutans
comes from moist mountainous environments in the Balkan Mountains and colonising fields of the region. Sometimes referred to as Nodding Star of Bethlehem, silvery bell flowers with a green stripe on the outside of the petals hang on one side of the stems. Flowering in April into May under 12” high it is particularly striking in densely planted bunch.
