A very old (pre 1869) small cupped daffodil with petals opening deep yellow becoming sulphur yellow, the ribbed yellow cup with an orange rim. Has a certain ethereal air but stands the weather. This stock has been brought on from bulbs found in a Kentish garden.

This old tazetta hybrid is just like the Paperwhite daffodils grown indoors for Christmas. Unlike them however, Scilly White can be grown and settled outside. In April it has several flowers per stem with white cups and petals, and a gorgeous scent.

This is a beautiful late flowering pure white double daffodil. Coming out in May but a little earlier than the famous Double White (N. poeticus recurvus flore pleno), it is neater, shorter and more compact but has an equally gorgeous scent. Pre 1950, so not quite as old, but a classic.

Emerging well over a century ago, Beryl was one of the very first of the cylamineus hybrids, she takes some beating. Her flowers have gently reflexed curling silky yellow petals, a small yellow cup turning orange at the edge, and last for weeks in the early part of the daffodil season. You can even have several flowers per bulb.

As with Narcissus Golden Phoenix the Dutch have a food orientated name for this Phoenix too, Eggs and Bacon. It is a very old daffodil having emerge before 1731. This beautiful double daffodil starts yellow and then fades to white with a ruffle of bright orange at its centre.

The Dutch bred this pre 1901 daffodil in the bulb growing capital of the ‘Dune and Bulb Region’ of Holland. This daffodil was picked out from the thousands of other flowers as the most glorious of all. It has the classic look of Narcissus poeticus recurvus with pure white petals, a burning red cup and a gentle scent that wafts through the air on a sunny spring day.
