This gorgeous little daffodil species from South France and Spain (also called the ‘lesser wild daffodil) is 4”-6” high with golden petals and trumpet. An early flowerer, Feb to March, depending on the season we’re having, it grows well here when given a well drained site perhaps with short grass.

Also known as Narcissus x johnstonii, this Iberian daffodil has earned the title Queen of Spain and is a cross between Narcissus pallidus and Narcissus pseudonarcissus. With a similar form and stature as our wild daffodil, but with creamy primrose trumpet and petals, it flowers a touch later and naturalises happily here, making a stunning group display.

The old fashioned 'Pheasants Eye' or Poet’s Narcissus is found in meadows in central Europe. With its pure white petals and a shallow greenish yellow cup with a crimson rim, it flowers late in the season, Apr - May. Very fragrant.

This is the old Double White, the choice double form of the Pheasants Eye (see above). Flowering in late May, long after the others have faded, its double white petals hold hints of green at the centre and a glorious scent.

The species jonquil, like its hybrids, is very fragrant, with a cluster of 5 or more small golden flowers per stem, and narrow dark foliage. Jonquils are late flowering Narcissi, blooming in April.

The Campernelle daffodil comes from a very old cross between a Jonquil and a wild daffodil, going back at least to the 17th century. Low growing at 12, with golden yellow flowers showing in late April it has the scent of its jonquil parent and bright green foliage half way between the two.

Sometimes referred to as Narcissus Canaliculatus, this is close to the original Mediterranean species and has proved hardy here in our frosty valley in Wales. Each stem produces up to 6 tiny flowers, white with a neat gold cup and the most amazing fragrance. One stem will fill a room with scent.

The Hoop Petticoat Daffodil. While the sight of a large patch of these bell shaped daffodils flowering in grass is quite breathtaking, they can be tricky to establish. With this in mind we are offering this more vigorous cultivar, but with the same neat habit and bell flowers in golden yellow about 20cm (9) high. The name says it all.
