Tulipa tarda

SKU: 2.081

This species grows close to the ground, the star like yellow flowers with white tips appearing in late April (late for a tulip as the name implies). It is native to the mountains of Tien Shan in Central Asia where I have seen carpets of it. Here it does well in a sunny spot perhaps planted at the front of a border.
