Snakes Head Fritillary - Fritillaria meleagris

SKU: 1.07

SOLD OUT FOR AUTUMN 2017
This is the fascinating native fritillary, with red-purple to cream flowers, chequered dark and light. It occurs naturally in damp meadows in Southern England, but is now rare in the wild. Planted in soil that does not dry out, and in full sun, it flowers in April. Plant at least 10cm (4) deep to avoid depredations by mice, but planting under turf is a good way to avoid the rodents as well.

Despatched - Mid August to the End of October
